The OECD Forum on Tax Administration is a Commissioner -level forum kicked off in July 2002 under the Committee on Fiscal Affairs. The first meeting convened in Seville, Spain in January 2004 and the second conference was held in Dublin, Ireland in June 2005.

The Forum on Tax Administration was created with the aim of bringing together heads and senior officials of tax administrations to collaborate in developing solutions to common taxation issues surfacing
in the rapidly changing global environment and charting future policy directions. Experience on a wide range of tax issues were shared and research results presented over the 1st and 2nd FTA meetings, enabling member countries to create international consensus on some of the major problem areas.

Heads of revenue
bodies from approximately 30 OECD member countries and over ten non-member nations as well as senior tax officials from 8 international bodies such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank participate in the Forum that convenes every 15 months.
