NTS Achieves 71.8 in National Tax Administration Comprehensive Credibility Survey

From
September 6
th to December 26th 2008, three research
institutes including Gallup w:st="on">Korea conducted
Taxpayer Credibility survey of 7,100 taxpayers who had experienced national tax
administration in 2008. The NTS received 71.8, up 9.3 points from 62.5 in 2007.



 



“This
impressive achievement was possible due to the efforts of all NTS staff to
enhance taxpayer credibility with the goal of at least a 5 point increase,”
said Byung Ik Huh, acting commissioner.



 



In
order to boost taxpayer credibility, the NTS has made numerous efforts:



Revamped
CAF (Compliance Analysis Function) to improve tax audits Established Happy
Call, Voice of Customer system, 6 Sigma, Taxpayer Advocate Committee, Advance
Ruling and MBO (Management by Objective) to boost integrity index and Launched
a social service team and operated social service programs.



 



The
survey shows that among others, the NTS saw significant improvements in
Taxpayer Orientation (70.8) and Integrity (74.7).
